Collaborative poem!
For 14 July 2014. Theme: Growth.

Mark out the space on the ground
Careful, careful, not to step too much on it
plant the seeds you hope will grow
watch the plants as they start to grow and grow
and water them lovingly
Patiently, carefully weeding and pruning
This is parsley, there's tomato
Whether plants or love, will grow if tended to
so add your heart
and reap what you sow
(It comes with its own reward in the end!)

It's been a while since I posted anything, so here's a couple of poems and pawkus from the April 6, 2015 TPS.  The theme was "Next"

[18:45]  Jillan McMillan: This pawku is called "Independent kitty is independent"
[18:45]  Jillan McMillan: My next life chapter
The story is up to me
I decide the plot
[18:45]  Jillan McMillan: The End

[18:40]  Benny Rosebud: This pawum is called: The One I Love
[18:40]  Benny Rosebud: Here i stand here next to you
You make me feel alive and not blue
At times i don't think you have a clue
I look into your eyes and say, i really do
Your next to my heart and I LOVE YOU
The End!

This one is also from the April 6, 2015 "Next" slam, but it's long enough to put in its own post.

"What's next" - By Copper
Johnny Cash sang,
"I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere."
Well it feels like I have,
but there's so much more to explore.
I've climbed a dormant volcano
I've fished in deep,
crystal clear lakes
so far north
that the sun was only visible for a few hours
Where nights
were freezing
with frost on the ground
and ice in the boats
in late June
I've hiked backwood trails
cut paths
cleared undergrowth
across New Mexico
Colorado
Kansas
and Missouri
I've hiked,
camped,
fished
hunted
climbed
rode
walked
explored
bellycrawled
the depths
of caves
in at least 3 states
I've climbed mountains
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f2/Philmont_Scout_Ranch_Baldy_Mountain_from_Copper_Park.jpg
I've scaled summits
that marked the way
generations ago
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Philmont_Scout_Ranch_Tooth_of_Time_2004.jpg
I've paddled
and been tossed
smashed against rocks
thrown into the frigid
glacial waters
of the Colorado

I've been
a Janitor
a manual laborer
an electronic
circuit
programmer
repairman
assemblyman
do-it-all-man
I've been
a secretary
a laser printer operator
a computer programmer
telephone answerer
Floor sweeper, broom pusher, mop slinger
circuit designer
database programmer
salesman
And that's just what I do right now.
I look to the future,
unable to see past the horizon
and I wonder:
What adventure
comes next?
