I have found an experienced SL animator willing to create a set of bone deformations that would closely match a demo I created. Sheenah Renfold will create the necessary .BVH files and then sell them to me for $L 20,000. I am allowed to then publish these .BVH files and the means to use this skeleton 'open' (such as on the Raglan website) for the enjoyment of others. This would permit its use on InWorldz as well as Open Sim Grid or any other grid that uses .BVH files.

I am asking people to look at my Ferret Bone Model at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Raglan%20Shire/247/198/41 which is what we are using for a reference. You are welcome to look at the model for suggestions on how to improve it as well as a possible better reference model.

Several things should be noted:

1) This model is for the PRIM based model and will work on the same technology used for Micro Avatars. Every 'bone' will require at least one sculpty prim.

2) Because of #1 listed above, there is no 'neck bone' because there is currently no means to *attach* a neck bone. When the situation described on https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-26120 changes, we will change things accordingly.

3) The tail will have to be created same as any other avatar tail, likely using a single flexi-prim or multiple layered sculpty prims.

4) The model is only for bone deformation proportions at this stage, rather than 'default stand/ sit/ walk' animations. Those are a separate issue once we have a model suitable for animation using Blender, BVHacker or other suck tool capable of correctly working with bone deformations.

5) Eye position will be considered as part of the scale. The resulting package would then have 'natural' eyes attached to the eye socket of your avatar. This would allow for 'googly eyes' simular to Loco Pocos avatar eyes that NOT locked to the head.

Thank you for your input. You are welcome to IM me or email me, asmith@mik-maq.com with your comments.

This project will have to be placed on hold. My wife has been in & out of the hospital the last several weeks, then this weekend I had gall-bladder surgery for gall stones. We do have insurance, we are covered and with supplemental insurance, but until I have money where I know it is going to be and when it is going to come in, paying someone else to do the job is simply out.

If anyone does happen to have interest in a 'micro quad ferret' avatar, simply letting me know would be an encouragement. I'll see this thing through somehow. Smiley
