greetings;
okay, first, don't ask me what da roolz and regulations are and how the game goes, cuz that hasn't been finalized yet. in general, here's what i can tell you....
Tower of VICTORY is a team building game. that means your team builds something. together. at the same time. and chaos ensues!
fortunately all you have to build is a tower/stairway/ramp. nothing fancy that looks like anything. (if you've ever played tui edugames' stairway to heaven, you have an idea what i'm talking about.)
you will have a set of shapes to use. these will be unmodifyable. in fact, for people who have NEVER built, all you need to learn how to do is edit, move, and possibly rotate. thats ALL.
each team member will have ONE shape to contribute to the tower. two of the SAME shape may not be used adjacent to each other. okay, so one guy with the cube cant spawn 50 and make stairs.
the goal is to make the tower/ramp/stairs to a bell above the playing field. getting TO the bell and TOUCHING the bell will score. so you have to build fast, but also be able to balance on these prims to run up them.

if any and all could show up at the silica cubicle (can i just abbreviate this to sillicube? i think i will, thanks.) i need to see if the scripts lag the heck out of the sim. if so, i need a new plan :X
this will also give you a chance to practice skills needed for the event.

the test run was a success! even crazy multi-copied prim towers didn't cause any script lagging that i could see. (not to guarantee a lag-free performance if the sim is full of tiny olympians!)
we'll have some more practice rounds this coming week. TEAM LEADERS: if you want to get your team together for some practice sessions, let me know when, and i can set the field up for you.

Overview:
Tower of VICTORY is a team building game. Each team must work together to build a tower (or ramp/ladder) to reach the Victory Bell, and light up all 5 of their team Olympic Rings to win the medals.
Setup:
The playing field consists of
1 Victory Bell: 15 meters above the center of the playfield
3 Team Start Circles: 10 meters from the center of the playfield
3 Team Olympic Rings: suspended over the start circles
8(ea) Team Colored Shape Dispensers: arrayed near the start circles
Teams:
Teams must have a minimum of 4 players. Up to 8 players can play on a team at one time. If there are more than 8 players, they can 'tag out' to reserve players between Tower builds. Inactive players must remove any Shape Controllers and sit on the sidelines.
Game Play:
Each team member gets a Shape Controller from the Shape Dispensers for their colour. The Controller is worn above the player's head. The player clicks their controller to spawn their shape on the playing field to use in building the team Tower.
Note that the Controller becomes inactive for 10 seconds after rezzing a shape. Do not click it while it is transparent, but wait for it to become solid again.
When the Tower is built to reach the Bell, the player(s) run up to the bell to ring it. (Note: you must be wearing a Shape Controller to register a ring on the Bell for your team.) Their team then gets one point, one of their team Olympic Rings lights up, and their Tower is de-rezzed.
Play is repeated until all 5 Olympic Rings are lit up. The Rings then turn Gold, Silver, or Bronze, depending on which team got all 5 rings first, second, and third.
Rules:
1: The Tower base must start in the team's colored Start Circle. The Tower must be a
(relatively) contiguous construction from the Circle to the Bell. (ie: you cannot build half a tower, climb up it, then move the half tower up to the next level, leaving a gap.)
2: Two pieces of the same shape may NOT be adjacent to each other (they do not have to be actually touching to be 'adjacent'). See illustrations for examples.
3: Shapes can be moved and rotated only. You may NOT: resize, change the shape of, link, sit on, or copy the shape. They WILL self-destruct!
4: Only one team member can be on the Tower at one time and ring the Bell. (ie: two teammates cannot run up the Tower together and both click the Bell before their Tower is de-rezzed.) If a Tower runner falls off, another may take his/her place.
5: You may not climb another team's Tower, unless their Tower runs into your Tower. Still, you have to start at the base of your OWN Tower.
6: You may build blocks that block other teams from climbing their Tower, BUT -- the blocks must still be connected to your own Tower. (ie: you can build your Tower to intersect another Tower, but you cannot spawn shapes and just toss them on someone else's Tower.)
7: You may not FLY up to the Bell and ring it. Duh. Jumping, however, is allowed.
8: You can't sit on the Bell, so don't even try.

Do not attempt to sit on anything else on the playfield either, including but not limited to -- Olympic Rings, Shape Dispensers, referees, etc. Especially the Shapes that blow up when you do.

Four torus shapes around a square shape. Not adjacent in the middle, but adjacent on the diagonals. Not allowed.

Torus-square-torus-square-torus in a sorta bridge like construction. No same shapes adjacent. OK.

too bad! im sittin on you for all these complimacated (intentionally spelled wrong) directions. I felt like I was on Tiny Survivor! are you Jeff Probst?
if so just gives me the peanut butter and cookies and I'm out of the challenge, jeff.

ok so is this a good or bad time to tell you the pics you have are not in same order as the descriptions! lol and you may want to put definition of adjacent up instead of repeating it over and over.
im just saying, dont shoot the messenger!

I so want in on this event if it hasn't happened already. I think my lag issues will handle this one just fine! Please let me know when it is so I can adjust my schedule accordingly.

okay, i can't edit my post, so.... all it did was upload my images BACKWARDS.
1=1 2=2 3=3 0=4
according to the schedule, the tower of victory is at 1:30pm on saturday. if you want to practice, shoot me an im in world; i can set it up in the sillicube with just a few minutes notice. i dont want to crowd out anyone trying to build in the sillicube, but i'll see if i can post some times this week where i can toss out the equipment for it to be there for you to use until it is auto-returned. if zayn okays it.
come to think of it, im not sure if everybody should practice their strategies and teamwork, of if you should just all run around nuts on saturday

note the following changes/additions to DA ROOLZ:
--==The Ultimate Rule==--
Anything not covered in the rules is technically allowed. UNLESS it will make other people scream. You KNOW what I mean!
This game is about teamwork, sportstinyship, cooperation and FUN! Not screaming and crying and hurting people's feelings.
PENALTIES!
**NEW!** There will be Referees on hand to make sure you follow the rules. If a Referee points out an Adjacency Violation in your Tower, fix it! If they scold you for having more than one Tiny on the Tower at once, get off!
If you score any points while you are violating those two rules, your team will be assessed a penalty! If the Referee calls a penalty against your team, all active team members MUST report to your Start Circle and stay there -- and not build! -- for the duration of the penalty.
Yellow Penalty: 20 seconds.
A: for having an Adjacency Violation in your Tower when scoring a point.
B: for having more than one Tiny on the Tower when scoring a point.
Red Penalty: 60 seconds.
A: for having two or more Tinies on the Tower and scoring more than one point for that Tower build.
B: for accidentally (or purposefully) spam-clicking the Bell and scoring more than one point for your current Tower build.
GUIDELINES:
The following ARE ALLOWED:
1: You can pre-spawn your pieces to move into place as your Tower is built.
You may NOT start before the game starts, however!
2: You do not need to stand or spawn your pieces on your Start Circle.
But do not get in the way of other teams.
3: Switching Shapes: you can change your shape controller between Tower builds only!
4: Tagging Out: you and a team member can switch places between Tower builds.
Whomever is not playing must take off their Shape Controller and sit on the side.
**NOTE: DO NOT STOP between ringing the Victory Bell and building your next Tower. Play is continuous until the game is over.
