I was thinking that it would be interesting to have a Steampunk fashion, gadget, or machine show and auction.  This would be anything that a tiny builds in a Steampunk theme be it clothing, or item that would be presented in a fashion show type event.  The entries would be put up for auction and all the procedes from the sale of items would be donated to the SPCA or Humane Society. I think it sounds fun plus it goes to a good cause.  Let me know what you think.  :-)

I like this too! The idea of a steampunk themed month has been tossed around more than once. A few Tinies went steampunk for the Western month we had last year, but I don't know that we've gone all out steampunk yet (have we?). Anyway, if we haven't done a steampunk theme yet, we could put this as one of the events for a future steampunk theme month. Otherwise, I don't see why we couldn't do it as a stand alone thing. Thoughts from REAG?

There are a few wildlife charities in-world. I know the World Wildlife Fund is there, and I think the US based National Wildlife Association. Someone I know is involved with another one in-world... I think Mack Xeno? Can't remember the charity though... I suggest finding one in world that you'd like to donate to and opening up a dialog with them, while planning the event itself and its timing with the REAG folks (Raglan Events and Activities Group).

We need to get the last charity things sorted first, I think, before we start raising monies for another charity event. Hopefully we can get our animal adoptions sorted in the next month or so.

But I'm all for a steampunk month!

I know this tiny has already been busy building his own gear, and rounding up tiny-built stuffs.  There's plenty of imagination and talent here, so why go elsewhere, except for inspiration?  (And I've heard a rumor, more than once, that parts of the grid are powered by steam and pneumatic tubes... all we have to do is find those sims, and we've got an excellent supply of fittings and gears!)
