zomg those are just tooo cute ;-)

Ok... hi!

I started kicking around an idea in-world and got some interest... so let's talk this out and get it going if there is enough interest.

My hubby DJ's vintage jazz and big band stuff (mostly 20's and 30's and newer stuff in the same style).  Some of you have been to his dances in Esoterica, and have seen our dance balls too.  We tried to pick dances that fit the music and are fun, but the dance balls also run off menus so you can pick and choose.  (Helpful if you want to dance near another tiny as if you were couples dancing).

- Anyway, I was thinking of a winter formal dance... maybe a black and white clothing theme, or red, white, and black.
- I was thinking maybe mid January after we've all recouped from the holidays and Winterfest ends... or maybe closer to Valentines?  Not sure what's being planned that hasn't been put on the calendar yet.
- Maybe a Saturday around 1 pm SLT time so folks from a lot of time zones can attend?

Any interest?  Any ideas?  Any volunteers to help create a venue?

I'm sure we can get some creative folks to make a freebie bowtie for the gents and flowers or something for the ladies to wear that would be kinda formal (like ferrets and animals who really don't wear clothes!).  Formal for guys would be tux, suit, or even black pants with a nice shirt.  Just not t-shirts, shorts, or blue jeans if you can help it!  I know the ladies have a lot more options in the clothing department for nice looking dresses and even gowns.  And, as always, theme clothing is encouraged but not required... no clothing police in Raglan.

I like this idea, I think a more formal dance is long overdue! We just need to find a good date on the calender and a venue can be thrown up and decorated fairly quickly and easily by some good Events folk.

What a great idea!  I'll have my formal dress and hair ready to go.  And if I'm lucky, maybe a fancy hair bow too if I make Kayak's class.
