Hi there! So, I didn't want to waste a post on an introductions and stuff, so I figured I'd squish it in with something relevant! *grins*
So first post here, been hanging out in Raglan for a couple of weeks now as a green tiny quad dragon. I've met quite a few tinies so you might have seen me around! =P I've been a tiny dragon for around a year now, totally never going back =D but I had never realized there was such a large tiny following.
So far I've been having a ball, everyone's really friendly, and the community atmosphere is awesome. Honestly I haven't had this sort of fun on SL since my early sandbox days! *laughs*
Aaanyway, to get on with my question, I have really gotten into all the tiny gestures and specialized creations, but as you could imagine my avatar doesn't really agree with the Kage style animations. My AO works from an animation set with names starting with TinyQuad. The main difference I can see between the standard tinies and myself simply seems that my torso isn't folded along with the arms and legs.
I've had a couple of attempts at recreating the TinyQuad animation in QAvimator, but it's kinda proving to be more hassle than I thought. =P My hope, is that maybe someone else has already accomplished this? And that perhaps, they would share their animation? Or simply just details on QAvimator values.
Really, my ultimate goal is to make some decent dances for my AO style, and more importantly, be able to river dance!

 New dragon! New dragon! Woot woot! As for the quad animations, I did a little poking around for some kind of base pose a while back, and sadly came up dry. While I did make a few poses and simple animations for regular Tinies, I never got into quads. Sorry I can't be of more help! If you do find any, please share. Welcome to the madness!

Wow I was thinking about this just today! Even though I'm not a dragon. I've always wanted to see how they are made and maybe try some different things with them. I hope someone posts some.

heyas;
it really wouldn't be 'nice' to copy maya's quad animations and spread them around for free. :X
however! it would be very nice to make some new animations for tiny quads that you could share, or sell, or do whatever with. most gestures can/do/SHOULD work with the ao on. therefore, you do not need to fold the limbs yourself. you just need to leave those limbs unlocked in your animation, and only move the upper arms/legs and head/body.
if you need to create more complex animations where the ao has to be turned off... you could ask maya if she would give you a bvh files with JUST the folded limbs. then you could make a wider range of tiny quad compatible anims, and that would be very nice too :)
in fact, i think we should go around asking all the tiny animators to release base limb lock bvh files as notecards in sl. it would really help aftermarket animators a lot.
oh, also... somebody somewhere did have some full perm 'tiny pony' animations for use in creating tiny quads. if you im me inworld, i can probably remember the landmark name. i tried them out, but never purchased them, because it is difficult to see how they really work without the proper limb lengths and such. but if you want to make your own tiny quad and can't animate, that could be a start.
oops, and i forgot... for heaven's sake, test all animations on the beta grid!!! tweaking those things takes 50 iterations or so :X

*laughs* Thanks Bo =P
And I'm sorry Bloodsong, I may have come across wrong, I hadn't actually intended on spreading Maya's actual animations around. You actually hit it spot on though about the base folded limbs, so that I could make my own animations as well.
Ultimately if I was to make my own animations from scratch, they would end up -very- similar to Maya's anyway, as hers are doing what it is that I want to do. My aim was to be able to make my own custom animations to work with my current avatar. Anything I make personally I would be happy to share with others, including Maya, as they'd pretty much be an extension to an already awesome avatar. ^..^
