Howdy!

I need someone with the capability to record voice (male or female, overdramatising allowed!) to provide me with a CNN-style intro saying "This is Raglan Shire...News!"

Me neither, on either count. Dun think I've heard the YARP gesture.

What's wrong with a British accent? I love listening to Brits talk. It's fun for the ear. Tongue

Well, Zayn, if you can record it, I can run it through Adobe Audition and make it sound like James Earl Jones then!

Although, having a gal do one too might be good...where's Lani when you need her...does she read these forums too?

 Huh?

Lanis to good to read these forums.. shes to busy with FACEBOOk XD

I'll ask her though, she has good voiceover voice.

I can modulate my voice and add effects and stuff. I'll try and find a good typing sounds and a dramatic music thing to place in the background. Im tossing my protools set up out the window and hopefully will get set back up once im moved by the end of the year with another Computer based DAW studio Setup... Thinking about using Reaper since its free.

With what im using now on the cheap has enough features to do wot you need though.. just a matter of finding the time XD

ooo Adobe Audition does sound stuff?  Mannn i have EVERY PIECE OF ADOBE SOFTWARE.. and i STILL havent installed it all and played with any of it... Grrrr

OK, sounds good! You might find some clips and stuff on freesound.org.

Audition rocks! Is a great piece of software; used to be Cool Edit. Install it now!

OK I'm lost here...

You're having Lani do a voice over and then edit it so she'll sound like James Earl Jones?

Noooooo!

We either have a big booming voice, like JEJ, or a nice lady-voice!

If anyone wants to do one, the more the merrier. I would prefer to have a variety.

This is Copper Mistral for the Raglan News Network, wishing you all a good morning.

irl, people say I have a face for radio and a voice for silent movies.  But, I also do a good news reporter type voice, when I want to.
