Hello all,
As you know I'm always thinking about ways to attract others to Raglan for SHOPPING!!!
So I am thinking maybe we should do something like an end of summer picnic or maybe a Fall Fest type thing with another scavenger hunt? That way maybe we can get people over to the expanded wharf area, onto morning shire and up into the space station!
Just a thought. Any other ideas or imput would be greatly appreciated as I'm not having a lot of success with traffic right now and I really would hate to have to give up my vendor spaces due to lack of interest by the general population. Or maybe I need to change my theme a bit-- hummm, pondering that as well.

I think another scavenger hunt is a great idea. Would definitely be bigger in scope than the last time, but still be as much fun. I think some folk were sceptical about using Athen Shire before, but now it's moved with the rest of the cluster, it should definitely be used. Would also give folk a chance to explore it a bit more. The far side of Athen has some great sights!
And yes, it would also give people a chance to explore the Galaxy space station (we really need to give it a proper name..), the Galaxy Sea and Morning Shire as well.

Sweet -- why don't we have a contest then to come up with a name for the space station? That would get people involved.

ya the problem with being a niche like we are, when 97% of the SL population is "human" is that thats where all the money is. Add in that most tinys have "TINY" pockets and its even harder for tiny content creators to make anything let alone break even.
We have some great shopping areas on Raglan Shire and on the Wharf & Coastal Fortress on Heron Shire. I honestly don't know what to do to pump traffic up other then our events. None of this was done to be run as a mall so much as to help supplement all the land and locales we have that make what we have so nice and so much more then just a mall or department store.
Events are good, hunts, dances, etc.. the Tuesday Trivia should be starting up again on the wharf, Lani was talking bout doing a music and dancing night at the Asteroid lounge on Galaxy on the space station (Jo hosts movies there bi weekely too) plus medieval fest in septemember and stuff in between.....
How do we get more folks to the cluster and the various locales to shop or hang out or explore? i dunno, keep doing what we're doing and hope for the best .... after each of our big events theres always new folks ... maybe with more stuff going on in between the big things , sales and visitors will improve.
maybe we need to advertise more then just a classified ad or whatnot. i dunno.
feel free to make stuff happen tho! Cheesy

If I may, If we had more folks turning out for the Tiny-Go-Round dances on the Mainland it would attract more biggies who could be converted. Whenever we have more than five or six folks there we always get drop in biggiess. They can be converted. And more artisans putting out landmark givers and vendors to show off their stuff would help too. We are averaging traffic of 90/day on the Mainland but we aren't keeping them.
NO charge for Tiny artisans to put stuff up at Tiny-Go-Round.
