I'm gonna post this in here because I keep having to tell people who don't know how to do this. =)

Let's say you're in a crowd of tinies and you crash. Happens a lot, right? You log back in and you have a lot of gas clouds around you because people aren't loading.

What to do? If you're taking pics at a big event, that can be really bothersome.

So here's what you do:

Change your group.

When you change your group, it forces you to reload av's around you (among other things). You can change it back again right away too. Generally, it will work unless the asset server is being very very slow. But you should suddenly see some AV's popping back up a few seconds after. If it doesn't work, wait a minute or two and try again (as your cache may still be too busy loading for it to register properly). =)

Next time you crash and you're surrounded in a big gas nebula, try it out. =)

Another thing you can try is opening your Debug Settings and switching the setting on RenderUnloadedAvatar - this will (so far, so good) eliminate the cloud people altogether.
