*sigh*

Now that the Medieval Festival is past, it's time to keep the memories alive  Cheesy

So... what did you think of the Festival, when were you most amused/moved/surprised?

I start!  Tongue
I haven't seen all of the Festival, and I haven't even seen the Witch Dunk, nor the Stockades. But from the things I did attend, the most memorable were the wedding of Lego and Bloddy - especially Lego's sighs before the service  Wink and the truly awesome performance by MichelleD Ecksol!
Come to think of it: I loved every moment of any event I attended...

Ya the wedding was awesome and im not even into weddings, but the way everyone came together and helped decorate or design stuff or make things for the wedding, and how so many came out to attend.. WOWZ.. it really was something unique Smiley

All the folks in costume, the tournaments (zomg the end of the joust was crazy! with everyone wooping it up and the thunderous sound of all the folken riverdancing while waiting to see the victor.. wow), the dances the folks milling about talking and having a good time.

The People doing the scavenger hunt on the first weekend, the musical performances, the awesome castle...

for a little while we really did transform into a lil tiny medieval society...

lotsa fun !

I don't remember doing any sighing before the wedding - thank you very much.

I do remember sitting at the harp and feeling peaceful and wanting to stay there - kind of like when King Arthur ran away to the woods in Camelot.

I agree with everything Zayn said about the wedding and how folks came together to decoreate and make pressies, and attend.  It even went off almost on time!  Smiley

So of course the wedding is my favorite memory.

Along with the Christmas holidays, I think Medievel Festival is the most stunningly beautiful event we do. I enjoy so much all we do, but Medievel Festival probably moves me the most. The structures, the costumes, the joust, the dances... it seems to inspire truly awesome creativity in all of us. Anyway, thank you all for a wonderful, wonderful time. Cheesy
