okay, this is going to be pretty weird....
asexual awareness week is oct 23-29 (lord knows why they made it during halloween week... apparently it's not such a big holiday outside in the real world. :X ). and i thought i would ask if anyone were interested in having a discussion/q&a meeting about asexuality in the shire.
now i know.... human sexuality is totally way, waaaaaaaaaaay off topic for the shire. but i am asking here for a twofold reason.
first: raglan shire is the biggest (if not the ONLY) adult g/pg rated group on the grid... that isn't based on children, at any rate. because asexuals are, basically, NONsexual, this is one group where they can feel comfortable and not be bombarded with the usual innuendo and sex-o-centric attitudes of most biggies.
second: so many asexuals are terribly unhappy because they don't realize that asexuality exists and IS a legitimate orientation. they believe they're supposed to be like 'normal' people, and because they are not, that there is something terribly wrong with them. i've been blessed that i've never strove to be 'normal' in my life, and that i discovered the concept early on. so... i'm a bit of an informational crusader to people like this.
so the question is... is there any interest in having such an event on raglan? or no? or... is this something REAG feels is off-topic or not appropriate in any way?
just let me know! thanks!
